1. Print Adult class registration form and fill in information.

2. Write a check payable to "Sakura Gakuen" for tuition amount.  (One semester class is $210. BCS members' tuition is $168 per semester class.)

3.  Bring registration and tuition check to class, or mail to:

* Tuition is due in full at registration. Tuition does not include the cost of a textbook. There is no refund for No-Show.  There may be an additional charge for handouts for Kanji classes.**Tomodachi discount deal: Register with your friend and get $10 back!  When your friend/family member registers and pays as a new student to our Adult class program, you will get $10 credit for your tuition for the following semester.  If you introduce us to two new students, you will get $20, and so on.  Sorry, no double discount for church members.

Monday After School Japanese Language Class

This class is for high school students who are interested in Anime, Manga, everyday conversation and culture.  Students will learn natural spoken Japanese that you will hear and read in anime and manga.  By the end of the first semester, students will be able to read Hiragana letters used in Manga books, as well as to follow common daily conversation.  This class will be taught by a teacher who holds California Teaching Credential for the Japanese Language.  Textbooks is"Japanese in MangaLand".  Manga, other textbooks, handout materials and internet websites will be used.

Refresher Conversation Class

This class is for people who have learned Japanese at high school, college or by being in Japan. Basic knowledge of Japanese is required. We will work on mastering verb and adjective conjugations. We will focus on age, gender, and situation appropriate languages for effective communications.

Class Size

Minimum 8 students per class. First come (register and pay), first served. We do not offer classes that did not have enough demand at the time of registration. If a class is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, tuition will be refunded on the first day of the class. There will be no refund for "no-show".

If you know some Japanese, don’t wait for next semester. You can join an ongoing class any time as long as there is room.

Beginner all levels: Level 1 textbook is Japanese for Busy People vol.1 (Revised 3rd edition) with CD.
There are two versions of this textbook:
1) Romaji version: Japanese text is written phonetically in English alphabets. (ISBN: 4770030088)
2) Kana version: Japanese text is written in Japanese letters, Hiragana and Katakana. (ISBN: 1568363850)
You may choose the one that meets your needs. JBP Kana workbook (see below) is recommended for Beginner level 2 and 3 students.
