We will have a new Introductory Beginner level 1 class.

We will send you Zoom information, when we receive your registration and tuition. Mail early to secure your space. You may change class level after the first class. We accept students as long as there is a space in an on going higher level classes.
1. After register online, get a bank check payable to “Sakura Gakuen” for tuition amount and write “Adult Class” on memo line. Write your name on the check, if it is not on the check. (For example, your parent is paying for you.) Do not send cash. If you send a personal check, you cannot attend a class until the check clears at the bank. We are not responsible for slow delivery, or a lost mail.
One semester class is $210. BCS members’ tuition is $150 per semester class. (Tuition does not include textbook, and you must have one.)

Class observation fee – Contact Adult Class Dean first. We recommend you send a Bank check, so you can observe the class right after we receive your payment. Class observation is available for classes that have openings. If the class is full, students may observe for future registration for the next term. Monday After School Japanese Language Class (not available every semester)
This class is for high school students who are interested in Anime, Manga, everyday conversation and culture. Students will learn natural spoken Japanese that you will hear and read in anime and manga. By the end of the first semester, students will be able to read Hiragana letters used in Manga books, as well as to follow common daily conversation. This class will be taught by a teacher who holds California Teaching Credential for the Japanese Language. Textbooks is”Japanese in MangaLand”. Manga, other textbooks, handout materials and internet websites will be used.
Refresher Conversation Class (not available every semester)
This class is for people who have learned Japanese at high school, college or by being in Japan. Basic knowledge of Japanese is required. We will work on mastering verb and adjective conjugations. We will focus on age, gender, and situation appropriate languages for effective communications.
Class Size
Minimum 8 students per class. First come (register and pay), first served. We do not offer classes that did not have enough demand at the time of registration. If a class is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, tuition will be refunded on the first day of the class. There will be no refund for “no-show”.
If you know some Japanese, don’t wait for next semester. You can join an ongoing class any time as long as there is room.
