Fall Youth Classes are now Enrolling (Classes are getting full)

Fall 2021 classes are now enrolling, everyone.

Our new 2021 Fall Term is now open for registration, but many of our classes are now getting or are full; e.g., our popular, Senior Intro program (designed for middle and high school beginners is currently full.)  New student submissions will be placed on our waitlist if their class is full for the upcoming term.

We will be doing our usual, 17 week term; but because our host institution The Buddhist Church of Sacramento is currently closed, our classes will be online for the Fall.  As usual, we will be providing a variety of classes for young students (roughly 9 years old) to high school students who have little or no prior knowledge of the Japanese language.

The Sakura Gakuen Youth Program will be doing Zoom! classes starting on Saturday, September 11, 2021 to January 22, 2022.  Classes will be taught by our native Japanese Sensei and will be based on having two periods each week.  One class will be focused primarily on Japanese as a second language, while the second will be focused more on Japanese cultural information.  Unlike other conversational Japanese classes, Japanese alphabets (Hiragana and Katakana) and Kanji will be taught to the students.  Students will be instructed how to speak Japanese, as well as how to read and write it.

Class Schedule:

1st period 9:00 am – 9:55 am
2nd period 10:05 am – 11:00 am

Tuition and Payment:

Semester Tuition:

$250 for the first student $225 for the second student $200 for the third and successive students.  Tuition and fees are due in full by the first day of classes.  Unfortunately, we are only accepting payments by check at this time.  Students who are members of the Buddhist Church of Sacramento will have reduced tuition of $150.

Payment can be sent to:
